Beavercreek Cross Country teams both advanced to
Saturday's Super Regional at Troy giving them a shot to advance to State.
The girl's finished second behind Springboro.
Jessica Olnhausen finished 3rd overall 19:19, Jenny Wisniewski 7th
overall 19:39, Audrey Holbrook 8th overall 19:39, Randall Williams 15th
overall 20:20, and Erin Code 16th 20:34 each to qualify individually for Regionals. Melinda Lim 21:20 24th overall and Bridget Hatfield 27th overall
21:30 round out the squad.
The boys finished third at District's led
by Nate Spears 4th overall 16:34, Patrick Taylor 14th overall 17:43,
and Bryan Petry 16th overall 17:52 each qualified individually for Regionals.
Scott Szaljeko 18th 17:54, John Petry 20th overall 17:59, Ben Leininger 22nd
overall 18:02 and Dave Speaker 26th 18:15 round out the squad.
This makes the 34th straight year the
Boys have qualified for Regionals in one of the toughest regions in the
country, that is quite impressive. At Saturday's race in Troy the girls
will run at 1:50pm and the boys at 2:50pm. |
