Creek Football vs Fairborn

2005

Football 9/02/05 . . . Frank Zink Field in Beavercreek . . .
Beavercreek's first win of the season came in a 27-21 overtime victory over Fairborn.  Dee Wallace had a game to remember, scoring all four touchdowns for 116 rushing yards.  Jack Jones also broke the century mark with 106 rushing yards including a great opening kick off run.  Eric Hill intercepted a Skyhawk pass at 6:39 of the first quarter and had a 44 yard kick off return in the second quarter.

Creek's scores in the first and third quarter were matched by Fairborn and the Skyhawks took the lead in the fourth.  The Beaver's answered with another Dee Wallace rushing score [this one 45 yards] to tie the game.  The defense stepped up again and held the Skyhawks to give Creek one more chance but a field goal attempt went wide and Fairborn chose to take their chances in overtime.  Fairborn was the first to attempt a score from the twenty but fell short and missed their field goal attempt in another great defensive effort.  The Beaver offense did their job and punched Wallace into the endzone on a one yard run.

Chad White rushed for 94 yards, Avid Pureval had 4 punts for 111 yards.  Pat Williams was perfect in three extra point attempts and had 4 kickoffs for 137 yards.
