Beavercreek Football 2005

Creek Football at Lebanon

2005

Football 9/16/05 . . . Jim VanDeGrift Stadium, Lebanon . . .           Lebanon 33 - Creek 0
Both teams found it difficult to move the ball in the rainy first quarter.  Lebanon had first possession and drove to the Beaver 44 but turned the ball over on downs.  After each team traded punts the Beavers put together a drive including several first downs but a holding penalty and incomplete pass forced the Beavers to punt again.  Avid Pureval's 41 yard punt was returned 43 yards and the Warriors finished the quarter in Beaver territory.

Lebanon opened the second quarter with a score.  Creek's three second quarter possessions included one punt and two fumbles.  The Warriors turned the fumbles into additional scores to take a 19-0 lead into the half.

The Beavers varied ball carriers (4) and receivers (4) but could not put together a solid drive.  Lebanon added a score in the third and one in the fourth for the final 33-0 shutout.

There were high points for Creek.  Jerry Coscarelli had a 38 yard kickoff return, Ken Washington had 2 receptions for a total of 25 yards and Dee Wallace led rushers with 87 yards. Justin Hull made a [temporary] touchdown saving tackle in the third and Pureval had another good night punting 5 times for 165 yards.  Chad White threw for 45 yards and rushed for 45.

Beavers open GWOC play at home Friday against Springfield North.
